Festival Information

Information booths will be located at the corners of West Church and North Market Streets and the North corner of East Fourth and North Market Streets. Purchase your IN THE STREET t-shirts there!

Handicapped accessible restrooms are located at the parking decks on Church Street, Court Street and Carroll Creek and throughout the event as indicated on the event map.

Additional parking will be available at Thomas Johnson High School. The Frederick County Transit Service will provide FREE shuttle service from the school parking lot to the corner of 7th and Market Streets as well as the corner of Patrick and Market Streets. This service begins at 11:00 a.m. and continues every ½ hour until 5:30 p.m.

A City ordinance prohibits pets at IN THE STREET.


INTERNATIONAL BLOCK – INTERNATIONAL FLAGS!
South Side of Carroll Creek Linear Park

Take a trip around the world, all without leaving Market Street!  The block highlights the performers and groups that make Frederick so diverse.  Watch a belly-dancing exhibition and enjoy a Chinese Dragon dance at the Carroll Creek Amphitheater, stop by for foreign language storytelling courtesy of Quality Language Foundation or get a Henna tattoo (for a minimal charge) at the Indian Association booth.  Bring your appetite; the block includes food from around the world!

“Are you ready for some ACTION?” This block has it all: go-carts, a batting tee, cheerleading, hockey puck shoot-out, amusements, paddle boats, kayaks and more!

Plus, enjoy the sounds of the Carroll Creek Stage, including the reggae beats of Jah Works and the Memphis blues of Bonedaddy!

This block combines the excellent talents of the performing and creative arts. Make a magic wand, enjoy a complimentary make-over, paint a pumpkin or let your children make their own jewelry is this block highlighting Frederick County’s vibrant art community.

Be sure to visit the dance floor on East Church Street to enjoy live entertainment throughout the day!

Church to Second Streets

Delve in to the rich historical heritage of Frederick County. Try on vintage hats, examine a model of the Catoctin Aqueduct, talk to a Civil War re-enactor about life during those turbulent years or test your knowledge of the U.S. Constitution in this block.

Don’t forget to take time to enjoy the sounds of up and coming Country artists featured at the Second Street Stage, sponsored by WFRE 99.9 Free Country!

Don’t miss the clowns and jugglers wandering through the block. Coordinated by the Frederick Jaycees – Thank You!

Don’t miss the incredible entertainment scheduled on the Fifth Street Stage, including bluegrass, blues and Americana!

PUBLIC SAFETY BLOCK – RED FLAGS!
Fifth to Sixth Streets

Pay tribute to our local heroes who put their lives on the line daily for our public safety. Explore police cars or a Coast Guard boat, test your strength with the Marine Corps pull-up challenge, maneuver your way through a smoke house, take an up-close look at an antique fire engine and more!

Don’t miss the Sixth Street Stage, featuring high-energy rock music throughout the day!
